This gorgeous quirky cottage in Arigna, Co. Letrim was recently renovated by the very creative Angi Dixon. I spent a lovely afternoon documenting the arrival of a group of creatives for a weekend retreat and all the little details that make this place that little bit different.
I first photographed Karo back in 2013 and since then have enjoyed coffees, chats and filling my house with her gorgeous work. When she asked me back to photograph her At Work and some portraits in her new home I was thrilled – such a relaxed enjoyable morning’s work.
Thank you Karo for making it so easy.
Another very talented lady I photographed at work recently, capturing some images for her new website and promotional material.
It is lovely to see the images on her new marketing material and online showing how important it is to have good professional images for your business but also showing people a little glimpse of you and your workplace.
It is a real joy to photograph creatives at work, capturing some images for a new/updated website, images for magazine use or for their social media. Afterwards seeing their chosen images appearing in magazines, online etc shows the importance of having these images for a business.
I love chatting away getting to know them, their business and how it all started – but also a real treat is getting to see them at work and how talented they are.
A few weeks back I had a fun filled morning with Brookwood Pottery getting to do all of that.
Check out their website and perhaps do a little shopping !!
Late last year I paid a visit to Kathleen McCormick as part of my At Work Project.
She showed me around her studio, where she grows her willow trees and then I had a little nosey around her house where I discovered that she is very talented in lots of areas.
Such a talented, hard working, interesting lady to spend a morning with !
Thank you Kathleen for your time, your chats, the lovely coffee and cake.
Last year I spent a lovely couple of hours with gardener/blogger David Corscadden in his garden in Co. Kildare. It was lovely to hear all about where David’s love of gardening comes from and how he is continuing on a family garden.
Check out the latest Garden Heaven magazine for an interview with David.
