CD Launch for Cancer Care West

A beautiful new song entitled ‘Sweet Rockingham’ officially launched on CD during Boyle Arts Festival 2021.

Composed by my father, local Boyle man Cormac Callery, with music by Donal O’Connor and performed by my cousin Gráinne Caldbeck.

Cormac explains that “The song ‘Sweet Rockingham’ comes from my love of Rockingham, which began many years ago. This beautiful place with its many pleasant walkways and stunning scenery has been my inspiration.”

He continues by saying that “I have been fortunate to have the very talented Donal O’Connor put music to my words, which were then brought to life by the beautiful voice of Gráinne Caldbeck, who sings it with such passion.”

Cormac says that “Proceeds from the sale of the CDs will go to support the charity, Cancer Care West. This charity supports cancer patients both during and after treatment and your support for this very worthy cause will be very gratefully received.”

“We hope that those who purchase the CD, will enjoy listening to ‘Sweet Rockingham’ and will feel more in touch with the natural world.”
